User Agreement Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These user terms and conditions (these “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Book My Food AB, org number: 559436-0504 (“we” or “us”) that applies to your use of and access to the BookMyFood mobile application (the “App”) and the food ordering services provided therein (the “Services”). Please read these Terms carefully, as you agree to be bound by each of its terms by accessing or using the App, or the Services (together hereinafter referred to as “BookMyFood”).
If you don’t want to be bound by these Terms, please do not sign up for or use BookMyFood.
2. What is BookMyFood?
BookMyFood is a digital sales platform/service that allows home-kitchens to offer their home-cooked meals and
individuals/foodies to order food from home-chefs.
It serves as a comprehensive platform for discovering authentic, diverse, and delicious meal alternatives
prepared by our home chefs, featuring unique dishes from various cultures and cuisines.
Please note that all offerings are prepared by home kitchens, and BookMyFood operates as a marketplace for food ordering. BookMyFood app and/or Book My Food AB do not have control over, and do not guarantee: the quality or safety of items for sale; the truth or accuracy of users' content or listings; the delivery or pickup of offered meals.
3. Signup to BookMyFood
To use our app, you need to create a user account ("BMF Account"). To create a BMF Account, you must be at least eighteen years old and have the authority to accept these Terms, either on your own behalf or by having a parent or legal guardian agreeing on your behalf. Your BookMyFood account provides you with convenient access to view available food offerings in your vicinity. You can also review your current and previous orders, as well as manage your personal information and preferences.
When you register as a Foodie on BMF, you can explore all available offers and kitchens in the discovery view displayed on a map. Kitchens and their offerings are listed based on their locations and proximity to you, with the nearest Home-kitchen listed first. Your location is only used if you have granted permission for location sharing in BMF.
4. Payment Terms, Purchase Conditions & Cancellation
Price & Secure Payments
All orders are placed through the App, and the price of your order will be displayed in the offerings posted by
Home-kitchens.
The prices of each offering presented on the Platform at the time of ordering are quoted by
kitchen, and BMF does not reserve the right to change prices and/or content and information on the
offering/dishes. We may offer guidance about general price levels, but does not determine price.
Third-Party Payment Provider: BookMyFood offers payment services through external providers, Quick Pay and Swish, on the mobile platform. By using our services, you agree to be bound by their terms of service, which are available on their respective websites. To use BookMyFood for buying or selling, you must provide verifiable payment information.
We reserve the right to change our third-party payment systems, or to modify our policy for crediting our kitchens. Such changes could be due to regulatory requirements or to optimize transaction costs. If any changes are made, you will receive a minimum of 14 days' notice before they take effect.
Payment Terms –For Home-kitchens
Kitchens are required to read and agree to the Terms
and
conditions in the Payment Policy with Book My Food.
Providing Payment Details: Kitchens must provide their bank account details in the payment configuration
section on the app.
It is essential to ensure that the provided bank account information matches the correct
personal identity of the kitchen to facilitate payment processing.
BookMyFood will not be held responsible
if incorrect payment details are provided. Kitchens must enter accurate information for payment.
Purchase Conditions — For Foodies/Customers
When ordering meal portions through us, you agree to the following terms and conditions as a user:
- You are responsible for reviewing the complete item listing before placing an order.
- By ordering one or more meal portions, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the meal. This agreement remains binding unless canceled at least 24 hours before the listed pickup date and time, in accordance with our cancellation policy (see below section).
- BookMyFood handles your payments and automatically confirms orders. You must make upfront payments to secure your orders. Unpaid orders will not be reserved, and kitchens will not be obligated to fulfill orders for individuals who have not paid.
- For transactions made on the app, you will see "Book My Food" in your account as the payment descriptor.
- When ordering multiple portions with the intention of ordering on behalf of others, you, as the purchaser, are entirely responsible and liable for any food sensitivities or preferences not clearly visible to the kitchen on your profile. Neither the vendor, BookMyFood, nor any associated organizations have liability for disputes arising from a purchaser ordering on behalf of others.
- Payments for ordered meals will be processed by BookMyFood and are subject to the payment terms and policy. As a user of our services, you agree to these payment policies. Any deviations from these arrangements will require explicit agreement from us.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to the nature of the sold items (food!) and the fact that food may get spoiled or age rapidly, you do not
have a right to change or cancel the order once your is confirmed, unless so authorized by the Kitchen.
For Foodies:
- Foodies can request for cancellation of an order up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup/delivery time.
- To cancel, they must contact the kitchen to obtain confirmation and notify the BookMyFood support team at least 24 hours before the pickup/delivery time.
- An administrative cost of 7% will be charged from the foodies on the total order amount.
- Refunds will be processed to foodies within 7 days from the day of cancellation date.
For Kitchens:
- In unforeseen circumstances, kitchens may need to cancel an offering.
- To cancel, kitchens should inform Book My Food at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup/delivery time, if possible.
- An administrative cost of 7% will be deducted on the total order amount from the kitchen and would be settled in the next payment schedule.
- Full refund to foodies will be processed within 7 days.
5. Food Ingredients, Allergies and Content
For offerings available on the BMF Platform, the Home-kitchen preparing the meal provides a list of ingredients.
However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or real-time updates of this information, and we acknowledge that
kitchens may make changes to the meal ingredients without our knowledge. For this reason, we kindly request that
you directly contact the relevant Kitchen for information regarding allergens, ingredients, or the source of raw
materials.

Offerings promoted on the platform are prepared and packaged by kitchens in compliance with the requirements of the National Food Agency (Swedish: Livsmedelsverket). Neither BMF nor BMF's personnel are involved in the preparation of meals or their ingredients.
When orders come from Hobby Chefs, BMF cannot guarantee the compliance of such kitchens with the local health and
safety regulations. The platform clearly distinguishes between registered and unregistered kitchens to provide
you with the necessary information. It's entirely the user's choice where to place their order.
Food from
kitchens is intended to be consumed immediately upon pick-up or delivery, unless expressly stated otherwise. BMF
is not responsible for the meal's quality if consumed at a later time.
Content provided by users
Kitchens have the ability to upload photos and images of the food they offer on the app. It is their
responsibility to ensure that these images do not infringe upon copyright or feature watermarked or copyrighted
content owned by others. Additionally, any content and images uploaded by kitchens to app become the property of
BookMyFood, and as an app, we reserve the right to use this content for our marketing and promotional purposes.
We also reserve the right to remove any images that are offensive or unrelated to food or customer
experiences.
Picking up your order
You are responsible for promptly collecting your order from the kitchen's location, within the designated time
frame as indicated in the BookMyFood application. It's worth noting that you can either collect your order from
the kitchen's provided address or a designated pickup point, as mentioned by the kitchen at the offering level
on the app.
The kitchen determines the specific pickup window. Upon arrival, you should present your BMF order
confirmation or provide your name to the kitchen staff to receive your order.
If you fail to collect your order within the specified time frame, the kitchen reserves the right to decide
how to handle the ordered food item.
Home delivery
In some instances, home delivery may be available for your order. If delivery is an option for a particular
order, your items will be delivered to the address you've provided in BMF during the order placement process.
6. Taxes
The user acknowledges and agrees that the service must be used exclusively for lawful purposes, and they guarantee that all usage of the service will adhere to the currently applicable legislation. The user utilizes the service at their own initiative and assumes full responsibility for doing so. In cases where the user's utilization of the service violates this provision or any applicable laws, including but not limited to claims related to breaches of relevant personal data laws, the user shall indemnify the service against any claims made by third parties.
The purchase and sale of assignments may result in various tax obligations. You bear the sole responsibility for
any tax implications arising from your use of the service. For matters concerning the taxation of assignments
facilitated through the Service, we recommend referring to the Swedish Tax Agency for guidance.
When using Book My Food as a kitchen, you have two options: Registered Kitchen or Hobby Kitchen. As a
Registered Kitchen, you must be registered with your local tax office and adhere to their tax declaration
requirements.
On the other hand, if you are joining the platform as a Hobby Chef, you have to abide by your local authorities' regulations. For example - In Sweden, the tax authority, Skatteverket, considers it a Hobby if:
- If you do it in your spare time
- If It's not your main source of income
- If you don't do it on assignment from someone else
If you have profit you should declare, but you can deduct your costs for ingredients and tools you use (e.g. a
frying pan) (but it has advantages to declare even if you make a loss as they roll over to the next year for
five years.)

7. Technical/Non-Technical Issues
BookMyFood is a sales platform through which Kitchens (Home-chefs) can sell their food offerings to consumers. We
are not the provider or the producer of the food items sold through BMF. As such, we are not responsible for the
information given about each food item, the quality of the food items ordered through BMF or errors that may
occur during the pickup of an order or in connection with a Kitchen deliveries.
Home-chefs are responsible for the quality and safety of the food, and for all information provided
regarding food items. If you have any questions regarding a food item or wish to make a claim, we ask you to
contact the Kitchen directly.
Kitchens are obliged to prepare the food items offered through BMF in compliance with all applicable
legislation concerning the handling, storing and transportation of food, and in accordance with the established
principles and practices of the industry.
If you experience any service interruptions or detect an error in the App, then you can report the problem
through the support form found in the BMF app.
8. Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s:
- Ensure that all information provided by you to us is current, accurate, and complete, and that you will maintain it that way.
- Keep your BMF Account information strictly confidential and do not share your BMF Account or password with others.
Do not, and do not attempt or permit any third party to:
- modify, reproduce, duplicate, copy, publish or create derivative works of any portion of the App, any content, photographs, descriptions, software, image, or other information or any data therein.
- use the App for any purpose that invades any person's or entity's privacy or other rights, misidentifies you or impersonates any person or entity, including, without limitation, any employee or representative of ours, or could otherwise reasonably be deemed or viewed to be unethical, illegal, or offensive.
- publish or upload any content, through ratings or otherwise, that include illegal, violent, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content.
- We have the right to at any time suspend a user or terminate your BMF Account and access to BMF if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that is harmful to us or any third party. We reserve the right, at any time and at our discretion, to remove any content provided by you that we consider to be inappropriate, unsuitable, or untrue. (see section 7)
9. Misusing BookMyFood
Without limiting other remedies, we may take various actions, including limiting, suspending, or terminating your User Account and access to our Services, restricting or prohibiting access, limiting your activities on our Services, removing listings, modifying ratings, revoking any special account statuses, and implementing technical measures to prevent your use of our Services in the following situations:
- If we have reason to believe that you are causing issues or potential legal liabilities for us, our users, or third parties.
- If we believe that such measures will enhance the security of the app or reduce our or a user's exposure to financial liabilities.
- If we suspect that you are infringing the rights of third parties.
- If we determine that you are acting in a manner inconsistent with the letter or spirit of this User Agreement, our policies, or if you engage in abusive behavior towards our employees or users.
- If, despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us.
- If you fail to make full payment of any fees owed for our services by the specified payment due date.
10. Policy Enforcement
In instances involving buyers or sellers, we will consider the User's historical performance and the specific circumstances in the application of our policies. We may choose to exercise flexibility in policy enforcement to ensure fair treatment of both buyers and sellers.
11. Miscellaneous
- All disputes arising hereunder or in connection with these Terms, use of BMF, and the App shall be resolved by the laws of Sweden at the District Court of Stockholm (sw. Stockholms tingsrätt), Sweden.
- The services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We shall not be liable to you for failure or delay in performing any obligations hereunder if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- We have the right to transfer, in part or in full, our rights and obligations under these Terms. In case we use subcontractors, we are responsible for the work performed by the subcontractors.
- If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid for any reason, said part will be changed and interpreted to best accomplish its original intent and objectives. Any remaining parts will continue in full force.
