When the oil is warm add a chopped green chili, 1 table spoon chopped ginger and 1 table spoon chopped garlic and stir it well till you smell the aroma.
Add chopped pumpkin to the pressure cooker and mix it well and sauté it for 1 minute.
Mix it once again, then add water as per the consistency you require for your soup and close the lid of the cooker and wait till you get two whistles, then turn off the gas.
Wait till the cooker releases the pressure, open the lid add salt to taste, some pepper powder and a table spoon butter, mix it all well.
